Style de Rue
Pink, feminine, and dreamy is how we would describe Julianna Bass’ spring/summer 2017 collection, presented at Spring Studios. In the press release, the meaning of Pink Could Syndrome was explain, stating that it’s an irrational grandiosity in a time of despair. A cultivated total detachment from reality.’ A breath of fresh air between cigarettes. An extra life.
From the moment we entered the spacious, high-ceiling room, it felt as if we were floating on a huge pink cloud, we had entered the state of the pink cloud syndrome. The walls were lit up in shades of pink, and the natural light from the windows gave the clothing and models that extra glow. Soft pastel colors in mint, blush and rose, as well as hues of black, nude and ivory made for a very calm and dreamy collection. The models stood tall and beautiful on top of white, square shaped boxes on both sides of the room, allowing the audience to walk in between them and study the details up close.
