From the moment we entered the spacious, high-ceiling room, it felt as if we were floating on a huge pink cloud, we had entered the state of the pink cloud syndrome. The walls were lit up in shades of pink, and the natural light from the windows gave the clothing and models that extra glow. Soft pastel colors in mint, blush and rose, as well as hues of black, nude and ivory made for a very calm and dreamy collection. The models stood tall and beautiful on top of white, square shaped boxes on both sides of the room, allowing the audience to walk in between them and study the details up close.
Julianna Bass dazzles us with her recent Spring/Summer 2017 collection, curated by a ladylike sense of style. Minimal patterns, like a solid colored off-the shoulder dresses, a pastel pink turtleneck halter dress and black cutout long sleeved turtleneck and short ensemble enunciated such a perspective. As dresses presented a thematic design direction for this season’s offerings, it was indefinitely the placement of prints and statement colors that provided standout pieces.
